PA: Hot, Humid, Buggy and Now Rocks From Hell

No offense, but PA is my least favorite state so far...doing a resupply in Duncannon at mile 1138...headed to Port Clinton over next four days. Been slow going due to incredibly hot and humid weather; much better now, but now into pointy rocks that jump out at your feet, tripping and twisting with every step...think we have at least another 75 miles of this!

  1. Hey Crank, sounds good there, we'll be hiking out of Port Clinton on Sunday, make sure to hit the Hotel while you're there, the sandwiches are enormous there!

  2. Hang in there Crank! These are the miles that make one a true thru-hiker! This is the pure unrewarding pain of the trail. You will look back on it with some fondness later. Not much! But some... Just enough to make it worth it.

  3. Hey bird thanks for comments, encouraging words, and great direction...feeling better today...taking mid-day siesta at Eckville Shelter, waiting for milkshake and Stromboli before moving on to next shelter...hope to avoid big storm that should break this 97 degree heat!
